Tuesday, April 14, 2015 7:00 p.m. for a presentation by
Paul Bonine, from Xera Plants
“The Diamond in the Rough - Favorite Genus(species or cultivar) for Our Climate”
Paul is the co-owner of Xera Plants Inc. outside Portland, has been gardening for over 35 years, is the author of Black Plants: 75 Striking Choices for the Garden and a contributor to Fine Gardening and Pacific Horticulture magazines.
His passion is finding exceptional climate-adapted plants while always striving for that perfect match of plant and climate for the greatest success. He finds the genus and looks for the species or cultivar that will be best suited to our gardens, climate, soils and watering regimes and believes in matching the plant to the site, not changing the site for the plant. He's coming to share the best and the new plants with which he's had great success.
