Willamette Valley Hardy Plant Group

A non-profit, 501 (c)(3) volunteer organization whose primary purpose is to educate the community about perennials, shrubs and other plants for use in the garden, share each other's gardens and foster a love of gardening.

VOLUNTEER WITH WVHPG!

The Willamette Valley Hardy Plant Group is an all-volunteer organization, and there are many ways for our members to get involved with the group.  Below are just a few of our many Volunteer Opportunities.

  • Open your Garden, once, twice, or as many times as you like; to get in on the fun of hosting an Open Garden, look for information on the Announcements table at our monthly meetings, and in our newsletter.

  • Plant Sales, all kinds of jobs for every skill imaginable. (See PLANT SALE page on this website for list of jobs.) To volunteer, look for the sign-up sheet at the monthly meetings or sign-up form that comes in the Newsletter about 6-8 weeks before each sale. 

  • Meeting volunteers help with set-up, registration, and cleanup. To help at our meetings, talk to any of the Board Members.

  • Bring botanical samples to programs, with names; we provide the vase.

  • Write a Newsletter article, tip, or share photos. Newsletter contents and production are all produced by volunteers. See NEWSLETTER page on this website for more information.
